Welcome to Kolkatta racing day , a card of seven races framed for the day , THE A Q QIDWAI CUP
a race for seven furlong is the featured event for the day , a field of six runners will compete for the stakes , card looks competitive , mixed result can be seen , let us see what is in store for us 

My list of probable  contenders : 


RACE NO 1 -- THE RETORT HANDICAP 2000 Mts 

Class IV; A Handicap for Horses Rated 21-46, Rated 01-26 eligible

1. MASSACHUSETTES ( 5/1) , 2. CONQUERABLE ( 3.25 ) , 3. FERVENT QUEST ( 2/1) , 4. BAROCCI (18/10)

2. CONQUERABLE --  winner of same distance by 9 lts , jockey changed , moving freely on track , promotee , the field of four he beat needs to be looked at before betting 

3. FERVENT QUEST -- last run was stable mate ADELINO , is improving and covering ground with each run , track is good , jockey retained , the above named and this one have same connections , a close call to chose between them ,

4. BAROCCI -- still maiden after seven races , jockey is been changed too often , not a good sign , not on track after last run , race time betting trend will tell a lot 

BET -- 2. CONQUERABLE ( the margin by which he won tempts to bet again ) 


RACE NO 2 --- THE METALLIC HANDICAP 1600 Mts 

Class III; A Handicap for Horses Rated 41-66, Rated 21-46 Eligible

2. ROMANTIC FLOW ( even ) , 3. JASSI’S STAR ( 4.5 ) , 4. TORERO ( 2.25 ) , 7. HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE ( 7/1)
2. ROMANTIC FLOW -- won two races back to back , jockey retained , is on track 

4. TORERO -- winner of last race , 200 more to tarvel , is on track , same jockey assigned the job 

7. HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE -- many list less runs ,  jockey changed , no track work , if any one of the above fails to perform this one should be right there to surprise all 

BET -- TORERO (  a hattrick of wins happens very rarely , at low odds not worth a risk )
