Welcome to Mumbai racing day , a small but competitive card of seven races framed for the day , mixed results should be seen , let us see what is in store for us
RACE NO 1 -- THE ASTANA PLATE 1000 Mts 2.00 P.M
A Handicap for Horses Rated 20-46. (Class-IV) 5 years old and over
the contenders in here should be -- SUN HOT / BURGUNDY ROSE / POLAR ZONE /MATEUS ROSE / SPEED BABY / PLAN B
SUN HOT - needs strong handling , jockey on board is fresh , should run easy in here
BURGUNDY ROSE -- last run can be ignored as was in open company , back to age group with one of the top jockey on board , weight may be a factor to stop it from winning , Mumbai straight a bit too long for her style of running , jockey's effort may enable some good performance
POLAR ZONE -- has allowance claiming jockey , last run was interfered , has potential to finish on board , jockey declared too is good , place looks good
MATEUS ROSE - not reliable though has potential , declared jockey is still in HONEYMOON period , running first time in age group race , the only one who had a lung opener race last week
SPEED BABY -- allowance claiming jockey on board , last few runs in open company ran unshoed , now back in age group with A shoes , the horse has ran good but short of a win , today has strong chance to redeem , each way bet
PLAN B - long in tooth , due for retirement , may be trainer not getting new mounts to train , can surprise any day

BRYNHILL - the horse has been pretty consistent , kept on earning penalties without winning , today has good chance
RAJSAMMAN - horses from this stable are not performing since senior Jodha been hospitalized , has ran in good company , is the one to be beaten
TAMMY O - horse has won three races out of six runs , all win for the same distance running today , has reasons to win again , jockey ??? facing some good type in here

this race has a half money hot fav of the day , can drain down lots of money , the challenge could emerge from anyone of the first three numbers , of them i like MOUNTBATTEN to run a bold race
RACE NO 4 -- THE M H AHMEDBHOY TROPHY 2000 Mts 3.30 P.M
A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-66. (Class-III) (20 to 39 eligible.) Foreign Jockeys Eligible
GRENADINE - before going in Derby , was a winner of back to back two races , so this should be her hattrick attempt in a class race , which i feel should be hard for her in this good company
AL SHAMSHEER - nothing can be predicted of horses from this stable , always run against the punters
ATHENS - first mount for the Foreign Jockey , never runs two races the same way , not reliable
SQUARE MOON - i fancy him strongly but then again wards are not performing as per potentials , the horse as improved by leaps and bounds and should complete a hattrick

another open race of the day , SAVAGE BEAUTY is been looked upon as a very good bet for the day but i think should not be able to do it today also , SPADES is getting a drop in distance and change in saddle support , likes to run with front bunch , can sustain Mumbai straight ?? BETHPAGE gave a good fight to SQUARE MOON who is a serious contender in a class iii race ,comes from back stretch with giant strides , jockey change and drop down in distance , should be the one to be beaten , ULTIMATE GLORY not sure of this one but should run a bold race
